Welcome to CVS Specialty Central, your prescription status dashboard that makes it easy to get the answers you need when you need them. Once your account is activated, sign in at Central.CVSspecialty.com. Your dashboard will show all of the active prescription orders you have with us or those shipped within the last 30 days. This includes all the patients who fill through CVS Specialty. To find the status of an order quickly, search by patient name, prescriber, or medication, or sort by any field.
Get even more detailed info by clicking on a patient's name. And see the status of their current CVS Specialty prescription orders from your practice. If you don't see an order, it may mean we're still processing it. Try waiting a little while and check again. If you still don't see it, call us and we can help. There are a few common types of order status you'll see. In progress means we're either entering the order, checking benefits, processing a prior authorization, or clinically reviewing the patient's prescription. Discontinued means a patient may have changed or stopped therapy or medication, or that we can't dispense due to a change in insurance. Closed means a patient or prescriber decided not to pursue the order.
Attention needed means we need you to take action on a specific order. Check the sub status for details on what to do. This helps us make sure the medication is filled on time and prevents you from having to call us. And shipped means the prescription is on the way. You can even follow its journey with the tracking number provided. But what if you still need to call us? You'll still save time. Each patient record will show the pharmacy where the prescription has been sent, so you can connect directly to the team who will fill the actual order.
