JOEL HELLE: When physicians or offices say to me, why use CVS Specialty? The reason we're the largest specialty pharmacy across the country is that we have access to almost all the specialty medications that are available-- expertise in specialty medications, and patient support to navigate through getting started on a specialty medication.
DANIELLE BLACKMAN: When a patient starts a specialty medication, there are complexities and steps in the process that maybe they haven't experienced before. What we do is we work to streamline that process to make it as seamless as possible for the patient to get the treatment that their doctor has deemed necessary for them.
We have what are called Centers of Excellence and dedicated teams that really focus on specific disease states. So having that deeper level of knowledge and understanding of the disease states amongst the care teams in the Center of Excellence allows us to really better position the patient for success.
JOEL HELLE: Our patients are actually reaching out to us through their tablets, through their phones to ask questions from the pharmacist, to order their refills online, and it's really changed the landscape of specialty pharmacy, instead of going back and forth on the phone to communicate digitally. Patients benefit from the convenience of having specialty medication delivered to home, to work, or to school.
DANIELLE BLACKMAN: They can pick up most specialty medications at are nearly 10,000 CVS Pharmacy stores, which is especially convenient for those patients that are picking up their non-specialty medications.
JOEL HELLE: If you're a physician who's used us in the past and changed to a different pharmacy, it's time to try us again. We have new innovations and new tools that have changed the landscape of specialty pharmacy that no one else has.
