Easy Refill Program Terms and Conditions
By accepting the Easy Refill Terms and Conditions, you can enroll in the Easy Refill program. By doing so, you authorize CVS Specialty to automatically ship your enrolled medications to you and immediately bill the payment method in your patient profile for any copay, deductible or cost share you owe, up to the amount you authorize in your patient profile. If you do not already have an authorized amount set, CVS Specialty sets an initial maximum amount of $200. If your total out-of-pocket cost exceeds the authorized or maximum amount, CVS Specialty will contact you for additional payment. Prior to CVS Specialty dispensing your enrolled medication, CVS Specialty will notify you via your preferred digital communication method, as indicated on your current patient profile, that the medication is due for refill, and you must confirm you would like to place your refill order.
How do I know if my prescription is eligible for the Easy Refill program?
Many common maintenance medications are eligible for automatic refills. If your medication is eligible, you will see the Easy Refill enrollment offer when you are signed into your CVS Specialty account and/or during order checkout. If you call CVS Specialty to schedule your orders, the Patient Services Representative will offer Easy Refill enrollment for eligible medications.
How do I select an auto-refill date?
After opting into the Easy Refill program, CVS Specialty will determine your next refill date based on your previous refill order dates and the amount of medication you received. You will be notified via your preferred digital communication method of the upcoming refill order date. This date can only be adjusted to dates on or after your medication is eligible for refill. Changing the refill date on or after your refill order is already in progress will not result in cancellation of the order. If you need to cancel an order that is in progress, please contact CVS Specialty via chat or by calling the phone number on your prescription label. Changes to your Easy Refill order cannot be made after your refill is dispensed.
How will the pharmacy notify me when automatic refills are ready?
When a prescription is eligible to be refilled through the Easy Refill program, you will receive a message via your preferred digital communication method to advise that we are preparing to schedule your order. You must confirm that you would like us to schedule your refill order by responding to the message. By confirming your Easy Refill order, all medications enrolled in the program will be scheduled together for refill. If you prefer to schedule medications individually, please contact CVS Specialty via chat or by calling the phone number on your prescription label. Once you have confirmed that you would like your refill order to be scheduled, your order will be scheduled automatically, and a follow up message will be sent advising of you of the expected delivery date.
What if there are no refills left on a prescription enrolled in Easy Refill?
When processing the last refill on a prescription enrolled in the Easy Refill program, CVS Specialty will reach out to your prescriber to obtain a new prescription. You do not need to re-enroll in Easy Refill if your prescriber sends a new prescription for the same medication.
How often are automatic refills scheduled?
Automatic refills are scheduled based on the day’s supply of the prescription and the date of your last refill. If you need to change an automatic refill date, please contact CVS Specialty by chatting with us or calling the phone number on your prescription label. No changes or refunds can be processed once your prescription has been dispensed and shipped unless you provided notification of changes or withdrawal from the Easy Refill program prior to your prescription being dispensed and shipped.
Can I change or cancel an automatic refill order?
Yes. CVS Specialty will contact you via your preferred digital communication method before every automatic refill to tell you CVS Specialty is getting ready to schedule your refill order. If you need to change an automatic refill date, please contact CVS Specialty via chat or by calling the phone number on your prescription label. No changes or refunds can be processed once your prescription has been dispensed and shipped unless you provided notification of changes or withdrawal from the Easy Refill program prior to your prescription being dispensed and shipped.
How do I turn off the Easy Refill program?
You may turn off the Easy Refill for some, or all, enrolled medications at any time by speaking with a CVS Specialty representative or using the CVS Health app or your online portal. To unenroll in the CVS Health app or online portal, switch the Easy Refill toggle on the prescription list page of your profile to the off position.
You are responsible for informing CVS Specialty if you discontinue enrollment in the Easy Refill program and if one or more medications have been discontinued by your prescriber prior to the upcoming refill date. If you fail to notify CVS Specialty that you wish to discontinue enrollment in Easy Refill, it is your financial responsibility and may result in collection of the full cost of the refill. Medications, even unopened, may not be returned to CVS Specialty.
What if my medication has changed?
Please inform CVS Specialty of any changes to your medication (dose, strength, directions, quantity, or other changes) as soon as possible to prevent an automatic refill that you do not need. If you fail to notify CVS Specialty of changes to your Easy Refill enrolled medications, it is your financial responsibility and may result in collection of the full cost of the refill. Medications, even unopened, may not be returned to CVS Specialty.
What if my contact or billing information has changed?
CVS Specialty needs the correct phone number, delivery address, credit card/debit card number and expiration date to process your automatic refills. We will only deliver automatic refills when you have active contact information and a payment method on file. Please inform CVS Specialty of any changes as soon as possible. If you fail to notify CVS Specialty of changes to your contact or billing information, your automatic refills may be delayed.
